Tuesday, 21st March arriving at 6 p.m. for public veneration and confessions at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Athlone. Holy Mass commences at 7 p.m. Consecration of the Homes and Families to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus and enrolment in the brown scapular will take place at the end of Mass for those who wish to do so. This will be followed by Holy Hour.

’24 Hours for the Lord’ is an initiative introduced by Pope Francis in 2014. It was received with great enthusiasm here in Ireland and around the world and it will be celebrated again in our diocese this weekend and next.

All are invited to attend the Mass of Chrism in Sligo Cathedral on Wednesday 12th April at 7.30pm. During the Mass, Bishop Kevin will bless the oils used in the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Orders and the Sick. The priests of the diocese will renew their commitment to the priestly ministry. All are welcome and refreshments will be served afterwards in the Gillooly Hall.
Camino de Santiago: Young Adult Pilgrimage with Bishop Kevin Doran.

Walk from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela, total distance 120Km, approximately 20Km per day. Three preparation walks: Saturday 4th Februray, Saturday 4th March and Saturday 27th May. To secure place, applicants, must: pay €100 Non-Refundable Deposit; provide signed letter from Doctor indicating appropriate fitness/health to walk 120Km in 6 days; complete application form and agree to particpate in a least two of the preparation walks.
