The annual diocesan pilgrimage to Knock takes place on Sunday 18th August 2024 with Anointing of the Sick at 2.30pm and Mass at 3.00pm in the Basilica.
The Elphin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from 30th August to 4th September 2024, led by Bishop Kevin Doran. Click here for all information and booking form.
The Pilgrimage includes the Assisted Pilgrim Section. Those who travel as part of the Assisted Pilgrim Section will stay in Accueil Notre Dame, which is situated beside the Grotto and Sanctuary area. They will be cared for by the Elphin Diocesan Pilgrimage Care Team whilst in Lourdes. Application forms for the Assisted Pilgrim Section and full details are available from Very Rev. Ray Milton, P.P., Pilgrimage Director, St. John’s, Lecarrow, Co. Roscommon. (Telephone – 090 6661115). Closing date for receipt of completed Application Forms is the 10th June, 2024.

Jubilee of Marriages 2024
Couples celebrating their Silver, Ruby, Golden, Diamond or Platinum wedding anniversaries are invited to attend along with their families and friends. Light refreshments will be served after Mass to all in attendance.

Young Adult Faith Weekend (age 18 – 35)
Come join us for a weekend of fun, fellowship, and deepening your faith! Brought to you by the Dioceses of Elphin/Achonry & Galway/Clonfert. The event will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Retreat Centre, Mullaghmore, County Sligo from Friday 27th September (commencing 7.30pm) to Sunday 29th September (concluding 1.30pm). The weekend is designed for young adults looking to deepen their faith and connect with others on a similar journey. Throughout the weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in workshops, discussions, prayer sessions, and social time. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your relationship with God, meet new friends, or simply take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this weekend is for you.
Cost: €80.00 per person – this includes all meals and accommodation but please bring a sleeping bag and towels. A bed and pillow will be provided!
