Camp Veritas is an annual one-week residential faith and fun camp (Tuesday – Sunday) supporting young people, 12 – 17 years, explore and celebrate their Catholic Faith.  This year it will take place at Clongowes Wood College, Clane, Co. Kildare, from Tuesday, 23 June to Sunday, 28 June.

The parishes  listed below are pleased to offer financial support to help young parishioners attend the camp.  

Each of these parishes will subsidise one or more young people aged 13–17 years, and the subsidy will range from €100 to €125 per person.

To be eligible, young people must meet the following criteria:

  1. Age Requirement
    Applicants must be between 13 and 17 years of age (inclusive) on or before 23 June 2026.
  2. Parish Involvement
    Applicants must be active members of their parish faith community and participate in a meaningful way to parish life. Examples of meaningful participation include:
    a. regular participation in Sunday Mass.
    b. assisting at Masses,  e.g. being a member of the choir, a Minister of the Word and / or involvement in parish-based youth activities (e.g. faith-based youth group).
    c. current or past participation in the Pope John Paul II Award or Lenten Youth Ambassador initiative at parish level.
    d. belonging to a family that supports the parish through financial contributions and/or voluntary service.
  3. Financial Commitment
    Applicants must be in a position to cover the remaining balance of the Camp Veritas fee , i.e. €250.00 / €275.00 payable before 19 March 2026, or €350.00 /€375.00 thereafter.

* PLEASE NOTE *
If the number of applications in any parish exceeds the number of places the parish is subsidising, the parish priest or parish administrator will conduct a draw to determine the recipients of this year’s subsidy.
